Bio
Jim Gaff was born with an old country soul. Raised at the end of a fishing pole, running through a corn field or
half way up an old oak tree, Jim’s love for all things country came to him naturally. It’s a love that was
nurtured through the chords and lyrics of Waylon, Jones and Haggard.
As a young man, Jim’s postcard country upbringing found an outlet in music. As a singer and songwriter, Jim’s music has
been described as quintessential American. Country with an outlaw edge. It’s a sound that is further enhanced by his classic, gravelly country vocal sound. Backed by his incredibly talented band, “Coyote Posse”, a night with Jim, is a stage burning mix of powerful lyrics and the classic American sounds of guitar, dobro, banjo, fiddle, piano and harmonica.
Since he first took the stage, Jim’s unique brand of Outlaw Country has been steadily gaining popularity. From playing venues across the Midwest, Jim has gained fans all around the world and he can often be heard on radio interviews. To date, five of his songs have gone to number one on internet radio.
In shows from Nashville to Wisconsin, this ex-firefighter is known to heat up the night with an original song list that includes hits like- That Don’t Sound Like Country, If I could Have Just One Whiskey With Hank and Redneck Wild and
Livin’ Proof. Put Jim on stage, and no matter how many people your venue seats, one thing is certain, they won’t
be seated long.
